A virtual sci-fi, comic book, and gaming convention one post at a time
Today’s interview is with NASA scientist Shawn Domagal-Goldman discusses his work on space telescopes and his interest in the Foundation series, the Game of Thrones, X-Men’s Professor X, fantastic planets, Kim Stanley Robinson books, the Matrix series, and the Martian.
The Museum of Science Fiction is hosting a 3 day Sci-Fi and Cosplay convention at the Washington, DC Inner Harbor this weekend. It’s a nice little convention so far and worth the money, $35 for today, $25 tomorrow or $50 for both remaining days. Parking at the Harbor is $16 for 12-24 hours. They did a poor job of marketing it but so far the programming and guests are pretty good and the facility is great. Check it out if you have a chance. http://escapevelocity.events/
I got rid of my google ads. A good blog article convinced me that unless I get 10k visitors a month, google ads will simply make my site look unprofessional and will distract my readers from my real message and content. So no more google ads. I won’t miss the one cent a week I was earning from them.
